How to play

A black box is hiding a rule — something like "contains at least two red tiles", though usually less obvious.

  1. Build a row of tiles and ask the box. It answers only yes or no.
  2. Your rows pile up in the two columns. The pattern is in there somewhere.
  3. When you think you have it, hit Prove it. You'll classify eight rows you've never seen. Get all eight right and the rule is yours.

You never type the rule — you demonstrate it. Fewer probes is a better score. Hints cost 2 probes, a failed proof costs 5.

There's nothing here to paste into an AI: the rule only exists inside the box, and the only way to learn it is to run experiments.
